Nicole Wilbur, MSW, LMSW Clinical and Macro, SSW, is the President/ Founder of Blue Water Anchor Non-Profit Organization: Promoting Education, Wellness and Success within the Community. Mrs. Wilbur is also a School Social Worker at Arts Academy in the Woods High School in Fraser and a Social Worker/ Discharge Planner for Henry Ford Macomb Hospital. She was named School Social Worker of the Year in Region M in March 2017. She additionally has experience in homecare, hospice, palliative care and brain injury. She has enjoyed expanding her passion of presenting to Social Workers and other stakeholders through Macomb Community College, the MASSW state conference and various other venues throughout her career.


Workshop Objectives Include:

  * Provide at least two examples of pain- one of which is physical in the school setting. * Identify at least two indicators of pain. * Identify at least two ways technology can be used by staff and/or be shared with clients to assist with pain and symptom management. * Identify at least two ways mindfulness can be used by staff and/or be shared with clients to assist with pain and symptom management. * Be able to identify at least two barriers to pain and symptom management in the school setting
